Database creation
Group project in first-year preparatory class
April to mid-May 2023
Information Systems and Data - Merise - Relational Algebra - SQL Databases and SQL Queries - Data Structures - Transactions - Procedures
This project, completed during my first year of preparatory classes, represents a significant step in my academic journey. Entitled "Creation of a Database," it embodies a major achievement that has considerably broadened my skills and knowledge.
During this experience, I developed essential skills in information systems and data management, particularly in the areas of database design. My mastery of concepts such as Merise, relational algebra, SQL databases, SQL queries, Data Definition Language (DDL), transactions, and procedures was greatly strengthened.
The central objective of this project was to create a database that met a client's specific needs. To achieve this, I used MySQL to implement a tailored solution. In addition to designing the database, I developed custom procedures that conformed to the client's requirements, while simultaneously populating the database with data provided by the client. This experience demonstrates my ability to tackle concrete data management challenges, understand a client's specific needs, and translate their requirements into effective IT solutions. My involvement in the creation of this database underscores my commitment to the quality and relevance of the solutions I implement.
The "Database Creation" project highlights my ability to navigate through the various stages of an IT project's lifecycle, from design to practical implementation. It demonstrates my capacity to deliver pragmatic and tailored solutions in the field of information systems.
